Salzburg who is the defending Champions of the Austrian Cup opened the scoring just 13 minutes in, with Enock Mwepu coming up with a beautiful pass to Patson Daka who set up Sekou Koita for the opening goal of the match with a neat finish from inside the area.
Four minutes later Daka was brought down in the box. The referee pointed to the spot and the Zambian striker stepped up and made it 2-0.
It was 3-0 by the 23rd minute as Daka took advantage of a foul on Masaka Okugawa on the edge of the box to hit a beautiful strike to grab his brace before turning provider five minutes later setting up Mohammed Camara for a stunner of a goal to make it 4-0.
Enock Mwepu made it 5-0 in the 34th minute with a close-range shot beating the goalkeeper at his near post. Then Daka and Rasmus Nissen Kristensen took over the show combining twice in two minutes with the former scoring two goals in two minutes from the latter’s assists to make it 7-0.
