Coveted Zimbabwean forward Perfect Chikwende has joined Tanzania giants Simba SC from FC Platinum in a deal worth about R800 000.
The Zimbabwe champions confirmed that their star man had penned a two-year deal with the Dar es Salaam outfit.
Chikwende was the scorer of the solitary goal in the 1-0 win over Simba in the first leg of the Caf Champions League first round tie played in Harare in December.
FC Platinum’s spokesperson Chido Chizondo confirmed Chikwende’s move.
“FC Platinum today announces the Transfer of Perfect Chikwende to Simba SC.
“We would like to thank Perfect Chikwende for his immense contribution at FC Platinum including attaining two league titles, we wish him all the best in his new journey.
“The Club will continue scouting for players locally and from other countries to buttress its squad with the aim of reaching the football powerhouse status on the Continent,” she said.
The 27-year-old was also on target when FC Platinum beat Costa do Sol 2-0 in the second leg of the preliminary tie in Harare, to emerge with a 4-1 aggregate win over the Mozambican champions.
