Former Orlando Pirates striker Andries Sebola insists the presence of Coach Josef Zinnbauer is the main reason for the change of fortunes at the club.
The Buccaneers have won 5 of their last 6 matches under the German mentor who took over in December.
‘Local is Lekker’ as he was known during his playing days believes Pirates are also now amongst the title chasing teams.
“I think so (they are title chasers) because Wits is still going to play Chiefs and Chiefs is still going to play Pirates because I think they stand a good chance of being title contenders as long as they keep winning their games,” Sebola told FARPost.co.za.
Sebola, who is now working for the Department of Health in Mokopane, says Zinnbauer has brought a positive spirit within the team.
“He is doing well since he came over he won 5 and he drew 1 and you could see that he’s chop and changing the players so he is always spending more time with the players it’s unlike Rulani (Mokwena) was still there he spent less time with the players but this coach you can see in terms of what they are saying when they say sehlare sa mosotho ke lekgoa (a black person’s Muti is a white person),” said Sebola.
The Buccaneers are away to Chippa United in an Absa Premiership match in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.
