It seems like talented but wayward winger Masibusane Zongo has not learnt from his transgressions in the past.
The Bizana Pondo Chiefs winger has not kicked the ball in official match for the club but he has already appeared before the disciplinary hearing for misconduct.
Club general manager Loyiso Jokweni told FARPost that they decided to keep Zongo, though he was found guilty in the hearing.
“He is still with us, except that there was a DC case and the case was concluded, Masibusane remains our player until the end of the season.
“He was found guilty of misconduct, however the fair decision that was taken was to say we’ll keep him until the end of the season,” said Jokweni.
With the team in the relegation zone, they will need all the experience they can get and the coach (Clinton Larsen) seemingly sees something in the former Platinum Stars winger.
“There was a meeting between him and the coach after the DC outcome, the coach is intending to use him in the next coming games, it’s just that he (Zongo) is working on his level of fitness,” added Jokweni.
Another face missing in action is that of Abia Nale, but ‘Tsutsu’ as he is affectionately known in football circles has revealed that the former Golden Arrows attacking winger is on the sidelines, however the rest of the team are positive of good results going forward.
“Nale is injured, he got injured in the game we played against Richards Bay FC, he is with us but nursing an injury.
“The mood is very good, we were supposed to be having three points in the game we played against Steenburg FC unfortunately lady luck was not on our side.
“We should have scored at least four goals in that match, had we taken all the chances we’d be talking a different story, but the mood is very good and the fighting spirit is there,” concluded Jokweni.
