Reports coming out of France claim that Bongani Zungu’s proposed move to Glasgow Rangers in Scotland has been called off due to the player failing medicals due to his fitness.
United Kingdom publication the Scotsman had reported that Amiens and Rangers had reached an agreement on a fee of four millions Euros for the player with only personal terms left to be finalised, but it seems the plug has now been pulled off by Rangers.
Zungu had already made his intentions to look for a new challenge clear to Amiens and his coach Luka Elsner has also made it clear that he will not be involving the player in training as he wants to only focus all preseason efforts to players who are 100% focused at the club.
The midfielder had interest from Celta Vigo in Spain, Strasbourg in Ligue 1 and an unnamed club in Italy’s Serie A but at the moment it remains to be discovered where he will be plying his trade next season.
