Khumalo made a name in the United States, where he played for clubs such as Chicago Fire and D.C United.

He was in charge of Highlanders when they held Royal AM to a goalless draw in the CAF Confederation Cup qualifying round.

Mosala threw in the towel soon after the 2-0 loss to Royal AM in the reverse fixture played in Durban.

Mosala also served as an assistant coach at Sekhukhune United and Black Leopards.

He left a good record in Eswatini, where he nearly won the domestic league title.

Royal Leopards seized the league championship on the last day of the previous season.

He is a well-known figure in the Motsepe Foundation Championship. His experience spreads to teams such as TS Sporting, Free State Stars and University of Pretoria FC.

FARPost was unable to establish more details about Ngatyana.

EX-BLACK LEOPARDS COACH ALSO SHORTLISTED

The list also comprises former Black Leopard Serbian coach Vladislav Heric and Spaniard Ivan Minnaert.

The Lilongwe-based club has also shortlisted Mozambican Mateus Joachim and Englishman Tim Bryett.

Zimbabwean Lloyd Chigowe, Dutchman Erol Akbay and Balanga Ismael from Zambia are also in line for the job.

Seasoned Malawian coach Patrick Kulemeka is the only local earmarked for the post.

The Reserve Bank of Malawi-sponsored Silver want to replace Zambian Dan Kabwe, who parted ways with the team last season.

Kabwe’s failure to challenge for the league title cost him the job.

Silver Strikers linked with Pirates Reserve coach Mandla Qhogi

Silver are Malawi’s second most successful team in terms of winning TNM Super League titles.

The Bankers have won eight league titles and are only behind holders, Nyasa Big Bullets’ 16 championships.

Silver are run like a limited company with a board.

The Lilongwe-based team has produced well-known figures in South Africa, such as John Maduka (ex-Maritzburg coach).

Others are ex-SuperSport United forward Atusaye Nyondo and Polokwane City FC striker Khuda Muyaba.
