Dondol Stars are on course to win the Gauteng ABC Motsepe League title for the second time in a row following their 1-0 win over Mike 1 Stars away from home over the weekend.
The victory on Saturday left them seven points clear of second-placed Highlands Park, who defeated Jomo Cosmos 1-0 on their own turf.
Dondol are currently flourishing nicely in the SAFA Gauteng ABC Motsepe League with 71 points, whereas Highlands Park have amassed 64 points. Both teams have each played 31 games, and left with three matches to play.
The Lordwick Makhura-owned club will be hoping to win the title and cruise their own way to the ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs for the second time in a row.
Meanwhile, in the Northern Cape, Jacksa Spears failed to occupy the first spot in the provincial Stream B table after their 3-3 draw with Mighty Moovers on Saturday.
Jacksa Spears are currently placed second in their stream with 30 points, equal on points with stream leaders Saints FC. Both sides have played 13 games, with three matches left to play. Tsantsabane can not be ruled out of the race as they have collected 27 points so far and have three games to spare.
The winner of Northern Cape Stream B will face Stream A winners, NC Professionals, in the provincial playoffs.
