Mamelodi Sundowns stars headline Motsepe Foundation Championship January deals

Mamelodi Sundowns stars Promise Mkhuma, and Keletso Makgalwa headlined the Motsepe Foundation Championship deals that were concluded during the recently closed January transfer window.

Makgalwa and Mkhuma returned to Sundowns late last year after unsuccessful loan spells with TS Galaxy and Swallows, respectively.

And to get game time, the talented duo landed loan moves with the National First Division side, All Stars, who are aiming to intensify their push for automatic promotion to the DStv Premiership next season.

Another Sundowns player that has secured a loan move to the Championship for the remainder of the season is Luvuyo Phewa, who joined Cape Town Spurs.

Phewa returned to Chloorkop at the start of the 2022/23 season after a loan stint with the University of Pretoria.

The 23-year old attacker scored 10 goals after 27 appearances as AmaTuks marginally missed out on gaining promotion to the top flight.

Siyabonga Nkosi

Nkosi has joined Casric Stars from Sekhukhune United on loan till the end of the season.

The skillful midfielder was previously in the books of Pretoria Callies before joining Babina Noko at the start of the current campaign.

Elias Ramala

Ramala who broke into the scene with University of Johannesburg colours in the Varsity Cup has penned a deal with Casric Stars.

Isaac Masia

The former Black Leopards captain joined AmaTuks on a free transfer transfer after parting company with Maritzburg United.

Masia was in the books of Maritzburg at the start of 2022/23 season.

Oupa Manyisa

The veteran midfielder cut ties with Polokwane City Rovers to join La Masia who are fighting for survival.

The Westbury-based side have had a poor start to their maiden season in the second tier Division.

Tshepiso Mahlangu

The highly-rated centre-back signed for Tlisane Motaung-coached team from North West University team that participate in the Varsity Cup.
