Another coach to leave AmaZulu FC

Another coach is set to part ways with DStv Premiership outfit AmaZulu FC following the departure of Romain Folz and Ayanda Dlamini.

The Durban-based outfit appears to be in a coaching crisis, having chosen not to appoint coach Ayanda Dlamini as the substantive head coach.

He, Ayanda Dlamini helped AmaZulu survive relegation in the just-ended season, where they had an indifferent campaign.

Ayanda Dlamini took over reigns from Romain Folz who had been demoted to be the technical advisor.

Romain Folz’s demotion at AmaZulu was due to his failure to help the team grind results in the DStv Premiership and other competitions.

Before that, AmaZulu had parted ways with Brandon Truter who went on to make good strides with Sekhukhune United.

WHO IS THE NEXT COACH LEAVING AMAZULU

AmaZulu boss, boss Sandile Zungu announced that Folz resigned as the club’s Technical Advisor on 5 June.

However it has emerged that another coach is set to severe ties with the ambitious KZN-based club.

Impeccable sources told FARPost that Bafana legend Siyabonga Nomvethe is set to leave the club.

The former striker is likely to be cut into the wilderness when his contract expires on June 30.

Nomvethe has remained in the shadows at the club since the arrival of Romain Folz when he was demoted to the DStv Diski Challenge.

And despite years of diligent service in the DStv Premiership it appears that the Bafana legend is out of favour.

Nomvethe has been in the club set-up since 2020 when he was roped in by Benni McCarthy.

THE OTHER DEPARTURES

Meanwhile the club has also been rocked by massive changes in the administration department.

The club parted ways with their General Manager Tshepiso Mofokeng, Team Mananger Qedi Dlamini and Talent Scout Ayanda Mkhize.

AmaZulu are expected to fill in the void by the end of June. They will also make their new head coach appointment.
